The Diocese of Oakland seeks leaders who promote development in the faith by implementing, coordinating, and overseeing the religious education program of the school; ensure the growth of every student by advocating, nurturing and sustaining a school culture and holistic instructional program that is based on Gospel values and results in high expectations for all students and staff professional growth; and, promote the success of all students by ensuring appropriate management relative to finance, personnel, fundraising and development, marketing and enrollment, plant management, and collaboration among all stakeholders. These dynamic administrators should demonstrate outstanding educational vision, professionalism, leadership skills, organizational ability and interpersonal strengths to serve as Principals and Assistant Principals for elementary schools.
Catholic School Teacher
The Diocese of Oakland seeks teachers who believe every student is a unique child of God; our students can and do achieve beyond expectations. Candidates are knowledgeable in subject matter and teaching methods, and they continuously seek to develop themselves as professionals. They teach with enthusiasm, which inspires a curiosity in students and encourages them to learn. We recruit prospective full-time, part-time, and substitute teachers for the Catholic schools of the Diocese of Oakland who have a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a field related to the subject they hope to teach. The degree must be from an accredited college or university. Preference is given to: Practicing Roman Catholics; Candidates with California teaching certification; and those with a Master’s degree in education or their chosen field.
